Learn to Decode. Part 1: Nashville’s Covenant School shooting
“Ever’ question that I ask, I get a lie, lie, lie. For ever’ lie you tell, you’re gonna cry, cry, cry.” -Johnny Cash, “Cry, Cry, Cry”
On 27 March 2023, an incident occurred in Nashville, Tennessee, which the media outlet USA Today summarized in a report titled, “Covenant School shooting in Nashville: 3 children, 3 adults dead; victims' names released” (https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2023/03/27/covenant-school-shooting-nashville-live-updates/11549814002/ ).
A few excerpts from this report include the following:
“Police identified the victims as Evelyn Dieckhaus, William Kinney and Hallie Scruggs, all of them age 9, and Mike Hill, 61, Katherine Koonce, 60, and Cynthia Peak, 61. (Metro Nashville Police Department Chief John) Drake later said one of the children was 8 and about to turn 9 but did not specify who. The Tennessean said Koonce was the school's headmaster.” [..]
“The shooter entered through a side entrance of the school and went to the second floor ‘firing multiple shots,’ (police spokesman Don) Aaron said, adding that all doors were locked. Police received a call of an active shooter at 10:13 a.m., Aaron said. [..]
“Police initially identified the shooter as a female, but later said Hale was assigned female at birth and identified as a transgender man. [..] Asked if there was a correlation between the shooter’s gender identity and the attack, Drake said: ‘There is some theory to that. We’re investigating all the leads and, once we know exactly, we’ll let you know.’’”
“The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will assist the Metro Nashville Police Department in the investigation, said TBI Director David Rausch. Officials with the FBI and special agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were on the scene.”
“President Joe Biden referred to the shooting as a ‘sick’ act and reiterated his call for Congress to ban assault weapons. [..] ‘We have to do more to stop gun violence,’ he said. ‘It's ripping our communities apart, ripping at the very soul of the nation. We have to do more to protect our schools so they aren't turned into prisons.’ First lady Jill Biden commented on the attack during her opening remarks at a National League of Cities event in Washington. ‘I am truly without words, and our children deserve better,’ she said. ‘We stand, all of us, with Nashville in prayer.’”
“The Covenant School is a private school founded in 2001 that serves students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade, according to its website. On a given day, slightly over 200 students and 42 staff members are at the school, Aaron said. The school is on the campus of Covenant Presbyterian Church in the city's Green Hills neighborhood, about 9 miles southeast of downtown Nashville. It's next door to a Nashville Fire Department station.”
“Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee said he was ‘closely monitoring the tragic situation.’ "
“Senior minister Clay Stauffer shared through tears a story of Evelyn Dieckhaus at the end of the service. Dieckhaus was a third grader at the Covenant School and her sister, a fifth grader, is a member of the disciples class at the church. Evelyn’s sister cried as she said, ‘I don’t want to be an only child.’”
The article begins with an Editor’s note and Clarification stating that, “Police initially misgendered the shooter, who they later said identified as a transgender man.” The narratives surrounding Audrey Hale’s “gender identification” is a common focal point for media reports, but it distracts from far more significant elements of what occurred at the Covenant School on 27 March 2023, as will be demonstrated in the remainder of this Substack article.
On 31 March 2025, the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) released their Investigative Case Summary (Case 2023-0181771, hereafter cited as the “MNPD Report”, available at https://drive.google.com/file/d/150GKsWH1ByVAcxjSInL_KbV79n_f5qm-/view ) on the Covenant School Shooting. The MNPD credited several organizations including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) “for assistance in the initial response and throughout the investigation.” The first portion of the MNPD Report follows a chronological path through the day of the shooting, and later sections disclose various other details regarding Audrey Hale.
Unfortunately, the report lacks important details and is written in a style which comes across as a narrative rather than a complete disclosure of facts about the events of 27 March 2023. For example, consider the statements made on the very first page of the report.
It would have been easier for Hale to don the vest, affix magazine pouches, and load the firearms to her belt if she exited the car to do so. Did she ever open the car door and step outside?
If not, given the distance of the camera, how is it possible that the MNPD knows that she loaded the firearms while waiting in the car, as opposed to loading them prior to arriving at the Royal Range USA parking lot? Or loading them afterward?
If the MNPD has video which shows that she did step outside the car, why doesn’t the MNPD report include a picture of her outside the car?
One could set aside the matter of when Audrey Hale loaded the guns if it were the only occasion where assertions were made without evidence. However, this problem persists for many more relevant points in the MNPD report. For instance, one of the most important matters relates to where, when, and how Audrey Hale entered the Covenant building complex.
The MNPD report continues:
Hale then drove directly to The Covenant Presbyterian Church and School (“The Covenant,”) arriving there at 9:53 a.m. Upon arriving at the school, she first drove through the parking lot slowly before parking her vehicle in a parking lot on the west side of the building. Upon parking her vehicle, she waited inside her vehicle for several minutes. During this time, Hale sent a goodbye message to a friend through Instagram Messenger. At approximately 10:09 a.m., she exited her vehicle, slung two firearms around her neck and shoulders, and approached one of the west entrances to the building…
Video at https://www.newschannel5.com/news/she-checked-her-instagram-she-didnt-expect-a-message-from-the-covenant-school-shooter shows an aerial picture of Covenant as viewed from the north, looking south.
From the picture, it seems as though there are only two West entrances - at the right of the image, the northwest entrance is closest to the camera and lower in the image while the southwest entrance shown above in the image would be farther away from the camera.
Why doesn’t the MNPD report specify which of the West entrances Hale used to enter the complex? Is there another west entrance? If Hale shot through the northwest entrance (lower), did anyone near the Sanctuary and offices hear her? If through the southwest (upper) entrance, did anyone in the parking lot or looking out a window hear or see her?
Why does the MNPD report include this picture which fails to clearly show Audrey Hale, who is seemingly obscured by the broken glass and door frames? Why not instead present a still frame with Hale more, if not fully, visible? It might have been difficult for Audrey Hale to “crawl” through the door with three firearms, especially given the large metal frame at the bottom of each door. Why not show her as she is “crawling” through each door?
Note that the time listed in the frame is 10:11:16, which is after she broke through the outer set of doors.
What was the timestamp when the first bullets were fired through the outer door?
Did surveillance cameras show anyone in the parking lot who might have heard the shots fired or glass breaking? Is the vacuum cleaner, which is unplugged, as seen in the left of the image, in the area where Mike Hill was cleaning?
The MNPD report continues. On page 3, it states:
How does the MNPD know that Hill and Hale saw another “at the same time”?
Given that Audrey Hale was still entering the building at 10:11:16, at precisely what time did she shoot Mike Hill? How many times was Hill struck by her bullets? Why does the MNPD report avoid disclosing the exact number?
It would have taken some time for the smoke to drift upward to the fire alarm. Did anyone hear the gunshots or breaking glass from inside the building complex prior to the fire alarm going off?
Weather records indicate that the prevailing wind was 5 to 10 mph from north-to-south on the morning of 27 March 2023 in Nashville, TN. (https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/usa/nashville/historic?month=3&year=2023 ).
One might think the air circulating from the wide open (shot-through) door windows “near the entrance” might have prevented the fire alarm from going off due to “gunsmoke from the muzzle of her AR pistol”. Is it possible that the cause of the fire alarm was something other than gunsmoke? What evidence did the MNPD rely upon to ascertain that gunsmoke caused the alarm to sound?
Given the prevailing wind direction, the sound of gunfire might be expected to have carried southward to be audible at the firehouse adjacent to the Covenant complex (per p. 5: “Nashville Fire Department 20, which is located next door to the school near the south entrance to the campus”). Yet the fire department right next door to the Covenant complex is only briefly mentioned in the MNPD report. Did they respond to this fire alarm? Did anyone at the fire department hear the shots fired?
Take note of the statement that the fire alarm activation caused the magnetic door locks to become disengaged.
The MNPD report continues:
What was the name of the teacher in the classroom with Evelyn Dieckhaus, William Kinney, and Hallie Scruggs? How close was their classroom to the entrance Hale used? Did the teacher or any students hear the gunshots or broken glass as Hale entered and subsequently killed Mike Hill? How many children in total were in this third-grade class? Was there a particular reason why William Kinney was selected as the ‘line leader’?
One reason the precise time at which Audrey Hale entered the Covenant complex is important to know is that press reports cite two other people leaving the complex parking lot at 10:12 AM.
Here, Britney Grayson is quoted as saying “We drove away at 10:12”. The outer glass door had been shot through by Hale at a time prior to 10:11:16, according to the MNPD report. In fact, she had fired enough times that she was afterward able to “crawl through” the outer door prior to that timestamp while carrying three guns.
Dr. Grayson and, as stated in the Daily Mail UK story, her husband Micah Wilfong gave the presentation to the children at Covenant School describing their work as missionaries for the Christian Health Service Corps (CHSC). This same organization was discussed in https://thewayout.substack.com/p/exposing-the-machiavellian-solution, in the context of an analysis of the “Go to Togo” blog post by fellow CHSC missionary Dr. Kelly Frazier (then Kelly Faber) titled “The False Cross” and a variation of the same post (“The False Cross”) attributed to Dr. Sarah Pruitt (then Sarah Cates). Dr. Grayson, Micah Wilfong, Dr. Kelly Frazier, and Dr. Sarah Pruitt comprise four out of fewer than 100 health care specialists and support staff for the Christian Health Services Corps, as evidenced by: https://web.archive.org/web/20240525143521/https://healthservicecorps.org/where-we-serve/
What door did Britney Grayson and her husband Micah Wilfong use to exit the Covenant complex? Is it conceivable that someone entered through the same door prior to its closing behind them, perhaps without their noticing? Did either Britney Grayson or Micah Wilfong hear the shots fired through the outer door, which would have occurred prior to their departure from the parking lot?
Who invited Grayson and Wilfong to visit the school? As executive principal, did Katherine Koonce approve the visit?
There are reportedly 26 children in the room, as pictured. That would be large for a single class, especially since USA Today reported that the school typically held only 200 students in total. How many classes combined to watch Dr. Grayson’s presentation(s)? Did Dr. Grayson and Micah Wilfong meet with different groups of children, given that Mr. Wilfong does not appear with Grayson in the pictures posted in the media reports? Or did he take the pictures?
Dr. Britney Grayson posted about her experience at the Covenant School on X (Twitter). Why did Dr. Britney Grayson change the time she says she drove away from the Covenant campus from 10:12 at 4:51 PM on 27 March 2023 (the day of the shooting when it would have been fresh in her mind, and also as reported by the Mirror UK) to 10:10 (on 9 May 2023)?

In the latter post, she acknowledged the importance of 10:11.
https://archive.is/2025.05.02-233021/https://x.com/britneygrayson/status/1655985592587386903?s=46
The MNPD report continues and on page 3 states that, “Upon hearing the fire alarm go off, (Cynthia) Peak left the office area and walked to a stairwell to assist with the evacuation of the building.” The MNPD report includes a picture of Cynthia Peak walking away from the surveillance camera at the far left side of the image.
The very small time stamp at the upper right corner of the image, shown enlarged at right, appears to show either 10:11:01 or 10:11:21. Can this time stamp be confirmed by the NMPD? Is this time stamp synchronized with the time stamp for the location where Hale entered the complex? If so, then Cynthia Peak is walking away from the school office on the second floor only five seconds (at the latest) after Audrey Hale was shown as she entered the complex. If the cameras are synchronized, it is unreasonable to believe that the fire alarm motivated Cynthia Peak to walk away from the office. She is also walking toward open fire doors. The MNPD report stated that the magnetic locks activated when the fire alarm went off, and therefore one might expect these doors to be closed rather than open.
Is it possible that Cynthia Peak was simply walking to her assigned classroom? If so, then why does the MNPD make the unprovable assertion that the fire alarm motivated Cynthia Peak to walk toward the stairwell?
For what class was Cynthia Peak receiving her instructions? Most substitute teachers arrive at the start of the day. Was she substituting for a class which attended the discussion led by Britney Grayson, who said she left Covenant at 10:12? If so, that might explain why Cynthia Peak was receiving instructions so late in the morning.
If the fire alarm was sounding, why didn’t the office worker shown in the center of the image arise to leave the building, as required by law?
At what time did Cynthia Peak arrive at Covenant? Presumably, she would have arrived at Covenant only a few minutes prior to entering the school office. Which entrance did Cynthia Peak use to enter the building? Did Dr. Britney Grayson or Micah Wilfong see or interact with Cynthia Peak, for example in the parking lot?
Remaining on page 3 on the MNPD report:
How many bullets struck each of the four individuals (Kinney, Scruggs, Dieckhaus, and Peak)? Were Evelyn Dieckhaus and Cynthia Peak outside the stairwell or inside the stairwell when they were struck? How many bullets were fired in total?
Did the teacher for Kinney, Scruggs, and Dieckhaus shut and lock the door even though none of these three students had returned to be “inside the classroom”? If so, how did the teacher, who was positioned at the end of the line of students, know that he or she should shut and lock the door without the three students present?
The MNPD report continues on page 4:
This time stamp appears to show 10:12:28. In contrast to the picture of Cynthia Peak walking in the same direction, the fire doors approached by Dr. Katherine Koonce are now closed. Does this difference in the fire doors suggest that the fire alarm went off at a time between when the two images [of (first) Peak walking toward them and (second) Koonce walking toward them] were taken? Did the staff member shown in the office only one minute prior (in the picture with Cynthia Peak) exit the building due to the fire alarm? Is it protocol for the Executive Principal to investigate a fire alarm?
Is it possible she exited in order to assist with evacuating the children? Can the MNPD rule out the possibility that Dr. Koonce heard the multiple shots fired in the stairwell and was investigating the noise? Is it possible she was simply attempting to exit the complex?
If any of these are the case, why does the MNPD assert that Dr. Koonce was investigating ‘why the fire alarm was gong off’?
Continuing, in the MNPD report on page 4:
Is there is surveillance camera showing the interaction of Audrey Hale and Dr. Koonce facing one another? If so, why isn’t this interaction in the report? Who overheard Dr. Koonce challenging Hale? Did the person(s) who overheard the interchange infer that Dr. Koonce was acquainted with Hale via her voice inflection (e.g., emphasizing the word “you”)? Precisely how many bullets struck Dr. Koonce?
How could any of the teachers have ruled out the possibility of a fire in some part of a large building complex? After all, the MNPD report attributes the alarm to smoke (gunsmoke), and therefore it was apparently not a “false alarm”. Does protocol require that students outside a building enter it if an active shooter is inside the same building? What are the names of the teachers who ordered their students to re-enter the complex with the knowledge that an active shooter was inside and while a fire alarm was sounding?
What evidence does the MNPD use to eliminate the possibility that another individual – an accomplice perhaps- was located in one of the areas without surveillance cameras?
Skipping ahead to page 7 of the MNPD report, it states that Audrey eventually walked into the sanctuary and, “Once there she fired several shots through a stained glass window” depicting Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Remarkably, the window was generally intact.
The damage to the window is difficult to see in this picture. How many shots did Audrey Hale fire through the stained-glass window depicting Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden? Were any of the bullets fired at the window found outside the church building? Is it typical for stained glass windows to remain unshattered when struck by several bullets fired from a carbine rifle?
The next section describes the response of law enforcement to the incident. Although a paragraph on page 5 of the MNPD report specifies “the northwest entrance to the building”, the MNPD report is vague regarding the west entrance through which the first police officer entered.
Why does the MNPD report avoid specifiying which of the west entrances the first responding police officer entered? Did the officer enter the same entrance which was shot through by Audrey Hale? Did the first responding officer drive to the Covenant? If so, why did he (or she) park on the west side of the complex while many others appear to have parked on the east side? Was this officer acting alone? Is acting alone a common protocol for the MNPD, or is it more common for an officer to have a partner? What is the name of this specific officer?
How is it that officers from “several different precincts, investigative units, and other specialized units” arrived from across the county only 9 minutes after Audrey Hale had entered the building and only 5 minutes after a formal response (as noted later in the timeline of the report)?
What was the response of the fire department which was located “next door to the church” (just south of the Covenant parking lot)?
A latter portion of the MNPD report focuses on Audrey Hale’s background. One section on page 28 is especially pertinent to the events at The Covenant School on 27 March 2023.
Audrey Hale sought a tour of Covenant in mid-September 2021, only a few days after President Joe Biden announced a Covid vaccine mandate for the US military and federal workers. Was Audrey Hale required to have a Covid vaccine prior to her being granted a tour on 14 September 2021? Given the possibility that she could have Covid, was she required to take a Covid test prior to being given a tour of the school? Given the risk of infecting children with Covid, wouldn’t the executive principal, Katherine Koonce, be required to authorize Audrey Hale’s tour of the school? If Dr. Koonce did not authorize the tour, who did?
Which faculty member came in on a Saturday (18 September 2021) to give Audrey Hale the tour? Did anyone else go on the tour with the faculty escort and Hale? Why does the MNPD report use the work “discreetly” to describe the photographs and videotape? Did the faculty member deny seeing Hale take the pictures?
Does the MNPD have evidence which proves that the faculty member was unaware of the photographs and videotape? What device recorded the videotape? What evidence shows that Hale plotted “alternate routes to use in the event something arose”? If this evidence is available, how closely did Audrey Hale adhere to her plan?
Page 14 of the MNPD report shows pictures of the six victims and provides their ages.
Why does the MNPD report, published two years after the shooting, list the age of Katherine Koonce at her death as 60 when Koonce’s obituary lists her age as 59 when she died and also includes her date of birth). Does the MNPD admit this detail in their report is inaccurate, or does the MNPD dispute the information listed in the obituary which was published in The Tennesseean and remains available on their website?
See https://www.tennesseean.com/obituaries/ten252379 and archived at: https://archive.is/jfPAQ
What source led the MNPD to post a tweet with this inaccurate information (see https://archive.is/4VfXk ) on 27 March 2023 and, over two years later, fail to correct it in the report?
Recall that USA Today reported that “(Metro Nashville Police Department Chief John) Drake later said one of the children was 8 and about to turn 9 but did not specify who.” Did MNPD Department Chief Darke speak in error, or the USA Today reporter make a mistake? If the former, to which child was Chief Darke referring?
Maybe the most important question of all regarding the MNPD report is: Why won’t the local media in Nashville, Tennessee or the national media in the United States ask these same questions?
“No matter how I struggle and strive, I’ll never get out of this world alive”, I’ll never get out of this world alive, Hank Willams Sr.
In September 2024, the Tennessee Star published material allegedly from Hale’s notebooks which contain, among other the same new organization published separately what it described as a “manifesto” from Audrey Hale. One image posted by the Star (shown below) shows the numbers 6 6 6 in proximity to what might be interpreted as an upside-down cross.
The number 666 is one of the best known references in the Book of Revelation (Chapter 13, verse 18): “Here is wisdom. Let him who has wisdom calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.”
The seemingly incorrect age of Katherine Koonce posted by the MNPD leads to the same 6 6 6 pattern in the tens digits of the ages of the adults killed.
It might be a coincidence that the MNPD initially posted the incorrect age which led to the 6 6 6 pattern in their post in 2023. But why, after two years of presumably careful study in compiling a report, does the MNPD report issued 2 years later also report her age as 60? Is it possible that Dr. Katherine Koonce’s obituary is wrong about her age and date of birth? Or did the MNPD maintain the 6 6 6 pattern for some reason?
An earlier leak of information surrounding Audrey Hale’s “manifesto” and other materials occurred in 6 November 2023 through the website associated with Stephen Crowder (authored by “Team Crowder”) https://www.louderwithcrowder.com/nashville-shooters-manifesto . The authenticity of the leaked material was confirmed by the Tennessee Star in November 2023 ( https://tennesseestar.com/news/sources-confirm-docs-leaked-by-crowder-are-authentic-covenant-killer-writings-mnpd-investigating/tpappert/2023/11/06/ ) which cited “sources in the Tennessee General Assembly”. Among the material released was a handwritten page with several statements attributed to Audrey Hale, suggestive of being written within two months of the 27 March 2023 shooting.
An interesting aspect of one page is the appearance of apparently misspelled words in the letter. There were also marks which Team Crowder deduced were shorthand. Finally, there some crossed-out words, or partial words, in the note. Team Crowder appears to have made an effort to faithfully transcribe what they interpreted as the intent of Audrey Hale in their reporting. However, some subjectivity is necessarily introduced through this process of interpretation of words, letters, and marks on the page.
For example, consider one phrase said by Louder with Crowder to be: “w/ their daddies mustangs + convertibles.”
It is implied by “Team Crowder” that the “w/” be read as “with”. But then why would the complete word “with” be spelled out two lines above? Also what is seen by Team Crowder to be a ‘/’ is actually closer to a vertical line. It seems that Team Crowder interpreted Hale’s use of “thier” and “convertables” as misspellings, which are changed to “their” and “convertible”. Team Crowder also avoids mentioning the crossed out word beginning with ‘m’. Notice also that the letter ‘S’ appears to be either oversized or capitalized at the end of the seemingly misspelled word “convertables”. Also, take special note of the character which Crowder Team views as the letter ‘g’ in ‘mustangs’. Let’s return to this phrase shortly to consider an alternate meaning.
On 29 March 2023, the Associated Press published a story (see e.g., https://www.wbtv.com/2023/03/29/children-lost-shooting-were-feisty-shining-light/ , excerpts shown below) which gave some background of three children killed at The Covenant.
For example, the story cites a GoFundMe page using the seemingly affectionate “Sweet Will” in referring to William Kinney, one of the child victims. In addition, the account provides information about the three adults victims through interviews of their family, friends, and acquaintances. Incidentally, despite the vast resources maintained by the Associated Press and the involvement of four reporters, the story nonetheless repeated an apparent mistake, saying Katherine Koonce died at age 60 rather than 59, as documented in her obituary.
Among the individuals cited was the governor of the state of Tennessee, Bill Lee, who “said (Cynthia) Peak was supposed to have dinner with his wife Maria, after filling in as a substitute teacher at Covenant” in a video statement released on 28 March 2023, one day after the shooting took place. Consider that Audrey Hale had allegedly planned the day of the attack well in advance and certainly could not have anticipated that Cynthia Peak would be substituting at Covenant on 27 March 2023 just prior to her planned dinner with the wife of the governor of Tennessee.
In some respects, it is unsurprising that Maria Lee and Cynthia Peak would meet, given that they worked together at a different school, Christ Presbyterian Academy (CPA). Dr. Katherine Koonce also worked at CPA before moving to the Covenant School.
Some background on Governor Lee’s experience at Christ Presbyterian Academy, which included unusual hardship, is provided by a story at https://www.williamsonscene.com/spring_hill/governor-bill-lee-speaks-of-personal-hardships-and-faith-at-christ-presbyterian-academy/article_5431d279-e2ab-5861-9bc0-cc7730742229.html (four excerpts below, separated by horizontal lines).
Summarizing a few points from the CPA played a key role, as the story suggests:
Governor Bill Lee would meet his future wife and current First Lady of Tennessee, Maria Lee, who was a substitute teacher at the Christ Presbyterian Academy.
Governor Lee’s first wife, Carol Ann Lee, suffered a problem, implied to be due to a horse-related accident which required her to be lifelined. She died four days later, sometime in the year 2000.
Seven years before that, presumably 1993, Governor Lee and his first wife Carol Ann, had a baby that died the day she was born – named Cynthia Kate. Carol Ann told Bill Lee that she was ‘chosen’ shortly thereafter.
Just after Carol Ann died, Bill Lee felt the same “I’ve been chosen” process happening to him.
Bill Lee’s oldest daughter attempted suicide by shooting herself in the head.
Bill Lee asked specifically for his future wife Maria to teach his sons in fourth grade. The school obliged.
My first impression of this article was to agree wholeheartedly with the headline - that is indeed quite a lot of hardship. But I do have one question:
If Bill Lee ‘found his wife’ Carol after her accident, wouldn’t he have been taking steps to ensure she was being lifelined after discovering her? If so, why would he later use the phrase, ‘the moment I found out Carol Ann was being lifelined’ as a point of comparison when describing his reaction after his daughter’s suicide attempt?
“Tell me why y’all rap if it’s fictional. Tell me why y’all are Fed if it’s criminal.” Squabble Up, Kendrick Lamar, Nashville edit
A woman named Jackie Bailey was interviewed in the same AP story to give some background on Katherine Koonce. Jackie Bailey is described as a “close friend” of Dr. Koonce and provided this context (https://www.wbtv.com/2023/03/29/children-lost-shooting-were-feisty-shining-light ):
“Koonce, the head of The Covenant School, was a woman of deep faith who saw educating kids as her mission. ‘It’s what God called her to do,’ close friend Jackie Bailey said. ‘We’re in such shock,’ Bailey added. ‘I was looking around my house, and every piece of cross stitch that I have on the wall, she did – she gave to me.’”
A portion of a video taken of Jackie Bailey’s interview is available at:
https://web.archive.org/web/20230704053109/ www . youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=1n2WAixJL4
(remove extra spaces when copying and pasting to view the video)
In it, Jackie Bailey describes her learning of Katherine Koonce’s death:
A friend of my husband’s called and said, ‘Jack, I think one of the adults killed at Covenant was Katherine.’ And we knew she had left and gone to another school, but I could not remember the name of the school. And I said, ‘Well, call Dick (Katherine Koonce’s husband). He didn’t answer at first. But he got right back to us and said, ‘Yeah, it was Katherine.’
(Video pause while the unnamed reporter asked a question.)
Katherine Koonce had left CPA in 2016 and been at Covenant (“another school”) for 7 years. If Jackie Bailey were an exceptionally “close friend” to Katherine Koonce, why wouldn’t she know that Koonce’s “new school” was Covenant? And why didn’t Jackie Bailey call Katherine Koonce herself instead of asking her husband to call Dick Koonce? After all, she was unaware than Katherine Koonce had been shot and killed at that point. It stands to reason that Jackie Bailey, while perhaps well acquainted with Katherine Koonce, would be an unlikely choice for an intimate interview with national reporters under the circumstances. Why was Jackie Bailey selected for this interview, only hours after the Covenant shooting, by (presumably) Associated Press reporters Adrian Sainz of Memphis, Ben Finley of Norfolk, Virginia, Travis Loller of Nashville, and Beatrice Dupuy of New York?
Now consider the next portion of the interview, as the unnamed interviewer asked a question:
“How generous she was? Um, this just really says it all. This is a cross-stitch she did for me. It says, ‘A friend loveth at all times. Proverbs 17:17,’ I think. Yes. A friend loveth at all times, and that was Katherine.”
It is interesting that the cross-stitch, suggested in the article Bailey to be one from among several she might have chosen to remove from her wall for the interview, was selected by Jackie Bailey. The Bible verse actually has a second part:
Proverbs 17:17: “A friend loveth at all times, And a brother was born for adversity.”
One interpretation of the second part of the verse is that a sibling might even more valuable than a friend in a time of trouble. But there is another way of reading the second half of that verse. King Solomon might be alluding to the Biblical stories about brothers who brought adversity to one another. The Book of Genesis includes the stories of Cain murdering Abel (Gen. 4:8-9), Esau’s anger at Jacob regarding birthright rising to the point of a murder plot (Gen. 27:41-42), and Joseph being sold into slavery by his brothers due to jealousy regarding the coat-of-many-colors (Gen. 37:18-28).
Did the interviewer suggest to Jackie Bailey that she might wish to show that specific example of the needlepoint, which Jackie Bailey claims was given to her by Dr. Katherine Koonce? Or did Jackie Bailey decide for some reason to have that particular stitching close by during the interview, just in case a relevant question were asked?
Perhaps coincidentally, an Australian author who also has the admittedly rather conventional name of Jackie Bailey authored a semi-autographical book titled The Eulogy which told the story of the death of a sibling. ( https://jackiebailey.com.au/about ) The Eulogy, which was released in June 2022, won the 2023 New South Wales Premier’s Literary Multicultural Award.
According to GoodReads.com (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/60766949-the-eulogy ), the main character (Kathy) “has driven from Sydney to plan a funeral with her five surviving siblings because their sister Annie is finally blessedly, inconceivably dead from the brain tumor she was diagnosed with 25 years ago. [..] Kathy wonders – she has always wondered – did Annie get sick to protect her? And if so, from what?”
Jackie Bailey of New South Wales makes the following statement on her website and reveals her candid interpretation of ‘interfaith’:
“In 2016 I enrolled in a Masters of Theology and ordination program through The New Seminary, which is the world’s oldest ‘interfaith’ seminary. The seminary specialises in training people to offer spiritual services to people who are spiritual but not religious. I graduated and was ordained as an ‘Interfaith Minister’ in 2018, and have been offering spiritual services and support since 2017. My ministry takes the form of celebrancy, end-of-life care, spiritual care and counsel, and writing. [..]
My creed is [..]: I believe I can lead a spiritual and meaningful life, without religion. I believe that you can, too.”
The same AP story includes an interview with Anna Caudill, a second woman who discussed her friendship and working relationship with Katherine Koonce. Like Maria Lee, Anna Caudill had been a colleague of Katherine Koonce at the Christ Presbyterian Academy.
“Before Koonce took the top role with Covenant, Anna Caudill, a former art teacher, worked with her for almost a decade at Christ Presbyterian Academy, another Christian school in the area connected to a Presbyterian Church in America congregation.
In stark contrast to Jackie Bailey, ties between Anna Caudill and Katherine Koonce are seemingly plentiful.
The day after the shooting, Nashville media outlet WPLN ( https://wpln.org/post/covenant-school-shooting-katherine-koonce/ ) reported that “Caudill met Koonce as a high school teacher at Christ Presbyterian Academy beginning in 2000.”
WPLN also included comments from Anna Caudill which were highly critical of the reaction to the shooting by Tennessee Governor Lee and Tennessee’s US Senator, Marsha Blackburn.
But when it came to publicly remembering Koonce, Caudill noticed that two well-known Tennessee Republicans — Gov. Bill Lee and U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn — had not mentioned her friend in their statements about the shooting. Both lawmakers are connected of the Christ Presbyterian Academy community. Lee’s wife, Maria, taught at CPA and their four children attended the school. In her online biography, Blackburn is referred to as an active member of Christ Presbyterian, and Caudill said the senator previously donated to the school.
‘The sort of thing that has tragically become the standard thoughts and prayers,’ Caudill said. ‘It feels like radio silence from Marsha (Blackburn) about my friend and former colleague and … mentor Katherine, who loved children into becoming and empowered them there. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to understand that the value of an AR-15 is more sacred than my friend Katherine’s life.’
It also included a post on X (Twitter) from the account of @TheCovenantSchool , which in turn referenced the X account linked to @kskoonce , which is presumably Katherine Koonce, though the X account appears to be unverified. Following this account apparently belonging to Katherine Koonce, the pinned post https://archive.is/wWwYI linked to a Substack article titled “On Not Being Horrible” by David Dark.
The article begins:
Y'all know Anna Caudill? She's one of those people who's so relentlessly honest that she's notoriously useless to the God Grift. She's an existential threat to every phony. And yet....she's hellbent on helping anyone who's ready to behave like a fellow human being. Anyway, she’s offered us a short and amazing piece (https://tennesseelookout.com/2022/08/25/pro-life-christians-must-answer-the-call-love-your-neighbor-as-yourself/) on where she’s been, what her own commitment to human life has looked like, and what’s required of us in Tennessee now that forced birth legislation has become the law of the land. Let me put it country simple. As of this writing, Tennessee is now a Forced Birth State.
Two excerpts from Anna Caudill’s article in the Tennessee Lookout from August 2022 titled “’Pro-Life’ Christians must answer the call: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’” are included below:
Anna Caudill describes a condition which a woman named Lauren faced. Anna Caudill implies that the condition is exceedingly rare and yet was a condition with which she had personal experience. This exceedingly rare condition was initiated by of a problem with twins in-utero whereby one twin was ‘slowly dying’. The death of one twin is said to have “triggered a stroke in the other baby”. :
“Aside from her doctor, I was the first person who had ever heard of her babies’ condition. Her story was not new to me—the same thing had happened to someone I love more than thirty years ago.”
[..]
“Three decades later, Lauren had different options. The children’s hospital had found that if the dying twin was aborted shortly before it passed, a stroke could be averted, the surviving twin’s brain would continue developing, and he and his mother’s life would be spared the risk of deadly infection. Lauren was heartbroken. She wanted both babies.
Once again, I found my definition of ‘pro-life’ needed expanding. This woman was fighting for her children, hoping for a miracle, slowly coming to terms with the reality of one child’s gradual demise.”
[..]
“Looking back at Lauren’s story, where her difficult and heartbreaking decision gave her surviving twin the best possible chance at life, I realize if she were in Tennessee now, the law would not even allow her that choice.”
It is implied, though not stated outright, that the woman named Lauren chose to abort one twin. The terminology used by David Dark in characterizing Tennessee as a ‘forced-birth state’ references Anna Caudill’s story.
A poster with the handle “K Koonce” posted a comment on David Dark’s Substack article on 27 August 2022 stating, “Anna Caudill is who I want to be when I grow up! I have great respect for her and her work; I am grateful to her for the courage and raw intelligence with which she lives.” David Dark replied the following day, “So grateful to see you on here, Katherine. I feel the same way.” (see https://web.archive.org/web/20250509223225/https://daviddark.substack.com/p/on-not-being-horrible/comment/8678645 )
In contrast to Katherine Koonce’s strong endorsement of Anna Caudill, there were no obvious references to Jackie Bailey in the X account attributed to Katherine Koonce, even though both Caudill and Bailey were featured in the same AP story, with Jackie Bailey being described as a ‘close friend’.
Consider: Is it a coincidence that adversity between siblings is the theme in: (1) the story written by Anna Caudill to which Katherine Koonce seemingly responded by “Anna Caudill is who I want to be when I grow up.” (2) The missing half of the Bible verse displayed by Jackie Bailey of the Nashville, TN area who was chosen by AP reporters for an interview regarding the death of Katherine Koonce even though she did not know where Dr. Koonce had worked for the prior 7 years, and (3) a book published less than one year before the shooting by an Australian woman, also named Jackie Bailey, who describes herself as ‘not religious’ and “offers spiritual services to people who are spiritual but not religious”?
A report co-authored by former Nina Jankowicz, named by President Biden to be the “Disinformation head at the Department of Homeland Security” in 2021 described “malign creativity” as “coded language, iterative, context-based visual, and textual memes and other tactics”. Is it possible that the members of the Associated Press chose Jackie Bailey as a perverse example of “malign creativity” since she bears the same name as the award-winning author and, during the interview, posed with a needlepoint which touched upon a similar subject?
In addition to her commentary pieces, The New York Times interviewed Anna Caudill in 2018 regarding corporal punishment, referencing her role as executive director of Post Adoption Learning Services (https://web.archive.org/web/20181219081526/https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/13/us/corporal-punishment-school-tennessee.html ).
Anna Caudill and her husband adopted two boys with disabilities from China, a point she noted in her Tennessee Lookout commentary. An earlier reference credited assistance from US Senator Marsha Blackburn in facilitating the adoption, which occurred during a trip to China in 2008 (https://s3.amazonaws.com/ccai-website/Anna_Caudill_Angel_Impact_Story.pdf )
“Anna and her husband traveled to China in 2008 to adopt their son, YoYo. [..] In 2013, she got a call from CCAI that she knew would change everything; her Member of Congress, Marsha Blackburn, had nominated them to be an Angels in Adoption.”
The site of Post Adoption Learning Services includes a Twitter handle presumably linked to Anna Caudill, which is no longer active. On the archived site, her post refers to her meeting with “Members of Congress & a few Senate HELP offices” https://web.archive.org/web/20230427003733/https://www.postadoptionlearning.org/
Approximately three weeks after the events at Covenant School (19 April 2023), Nashville ABC affiliate WKRN broadcast a story about Anna Caudill, who was interviewed by reporter Megan Kernan. Bold has been added to emphasize discussion points to follow.
“NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — In the hours, days, and weeks following the Covenant School shooting, a makeshift memorial slowly started to grow. Thousands of teddy bears, flowers, and letters were left at the entrance of the school’s driveway. If you’ve driven past the memorial lately, you might notice something missing.
All of the stuffed animals, handmade signs, cards, and many other items that hundreds of residents brought to memorialize all the victims are now being preserved in the basement of a very special woman, Anna Caudill.
“I thought about how it might be one of the parents or one of the children to ride past and see these stuffed animals gradually getting worn down by the weather, and I really wanted to take care of that for the community,” Caudill said.
In the midst of tragedy, heartbreak, and confusion, Anna Caudill, who lost her dear friend, Dr. Katherine Koonce in the shooting, wanted to make sure that the items brought to this memorial would last forever.”
“I drove over right after Katherine’s visitation, and my husband helped me load up the van with the first load,” Caudill said emotionally. After speaking with officials at The Covenant School, she started loading up thousands of items and brought them to her home, where she cleaned and preserved each item.
“Next steps would include meeting with the elders over at The Covenant Church, and also meeting with some representatives from the Nashville State Museum, the State Archives, and you know, talking about what portions of this tell Tennessee story and Nashville story and Covenant story. What I would like to see for the families is if there are things that are meaningful to them, that they feel like they can hold on to, or need to hold on to, that there’s room for them to do that. Somebody’s just been taking care of that until they are ready,” Caudill said.
Walking down her basement, it’s an overwhelming sense knowing that so many people from all over have brought thousands of items to remember all of the lives lost and, for some, to allow themselves to heal.
Caudill said as she arranges and sorts through everything, “I think about the kids I’ve seen bringing things and wished there was a way to tell them I’ve gotten everybody taken care of; they’re getting tucked in at night. It’s wild to me that the Society of American Archivists has a toolkit for how to respond in a time like this, with templates for how to itemize stuff because this keeps happening.”
In the coming weeks, Caudill will be seeking volunteer archivists and community partners to aid in the preservation effort. If you’re interested, you can email her existing nonprofit organization.
Before going into the details of this news report about Anna Caudill storing stuffed animals left for the victims of Covenant shooting in her basement, consider that more than a year later (on 10 June 2024) the Tennessee Star published what is described as a ‘suicide note’ from Audrey Hale, per https://tennesseestar.com/news/covenant-killer-audrey-hale-left-parents-suicide-note-with-instructions-for-if-i-dont-survive-my-massacre/tpappert/2024/06/10/?swcfpc=1 Archived at:
According to this report, “MNPD investigators found the note posted to Hale’s bedroom wall.” As was the case with the notebook material published by Louder with Crowder, there are some crossed-out letters, misspelled words, and curious inconsistencies in Audrey Hale’s handwriting of what might be presumed to the same alphabetical letter. The Tennessee Star included an interpretation of the material which included reasonable, but subjective, choices in the translation. For example, the account translates the word preceding “basement” as “dingy” even though a sixth symbol is positioned between what appear at first glance to be an ‘n’ and a ‘g’ in the combination of letters.
Is it a coincidence that the very brief alleged suicide note mentions a basement and stuffed animals? An analysis of the “suicide note” will follow, but first let us return to the WKRN story about the stuffed animals and other items in Anna Caudill’s basement.
In the posted WKRN article which was updated on 20 April 2023, the anniversary of the Columbine school shooting, there were 13 photographs included. The photographs labeled 3/13 showed a note on pink paper and a card angled beneath the pink note with a person, presumably Anna Caudill, touching the card.
At first glance, the note on pink paper appears to state:
“Loving God, Take good care of these six angels. They are loved + mourned + missed here on Earth.”
As with Audrey Hale’s notebook leaked to Louder with Crowder, however, there might be other interpretations, depending on how the handwritten letters are transcribed.
First, however, take a very close look at the left hand of, presumably, Anna Caudill resting on the sympathy card. Her fingers are spaced apart, perhaps purposefully and some might say unnaturally. Her pinky points to a five-pointed star with one point facing down within the orientation of the picture, her ring finger rests just above the last ‘m’ in ‘Comm”, and her middle finger covers the ‘y’ leaving the word “Unit”. A Comm Unit typically refers to a communication unit (e.g., https://www.cisa.gov/safecom/communications-unit )
As for the 5-pointed star with one point facing downward, Britannica ( https://britannica.com/topic/pentagram#ref1305991 ) provides the following:
“Sometimes the inverted figure of the pentagram, with two points facing upward and one facing down, is associated with negative or ‘black’ magic and devil worship. Indeed, the inverted pentagram figures in the sigil of Baphomet, one of the main symbols of the Church of Satan, an atheistic organization that evokes in its imagery the Devil as viewed in Christianity…”
So if we read from pink toward middle finger, we have “Satanic Comm Unit”. Hmmm.
Let’s take another look at that message on the pink piece of paper.
Consider the word ‘God’ in the opening line. Do you notice how the letter which at first resembles the ‘G’ in God might also be read as ‘C’ with the number ‘70’ next to it? And instead of the letter ‘d’, is shaped more like the Greek letter ‘α’, pronounced ‘alpha’? The word ‘alpha’ is defined as “the dominant member of a group of animals”, as in ‘alpha wolf’.
It turns out that “C70” is the Journal of Economics Literature (JEL) Classification code code for “Game Theory: General”.
https://www.aeaweb.org/jel/guide/jel.php
The word which appears at first glance to be “God” may also be interpreted as “Game Theory Alpha” or “Game Theory Leader”.
Game Theory is the foundational to the subject area which notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein supported at Harvard. These excerpts on the subject of Evolutionary Game Theory by Martin Nowak can be found at:
https://ped.fas.harvard.edu/files/ped/files/evoldyn_excerpt.pdf
Jeffrey Epstein sponsored work at Harvard with Professor Martin Nowak, who in the early 2000’s left Princeton to “run the mathematical biology and evolutionary dynamics program at Harvard endowed by (Jeffrey) Epstein.” ( https://www.thecrimson.com/article/2003/5/1/mogul-donor-gives-harvard-more-than/ )
The Harvard Crimson (https://www.thecrimson.com/article/2003/5/1/mogul-donor-gives-harvard-more-than/ ) reported the following in 2003:
“‘I am amazed by the connections he has in the scientific world,’ says Martin A. Nowak, who will leave Princeton’s Institute for Advanced Study to run the mathematical biology and evolutionary dynamics program at Harvard endowed by Epstein’s $30 million gift. ‘He knows an amazing number of scientists; he knows everyone you can imagine.’
Indeed, Epstein shares a special connection with one of the most prominent figures at Harvard—University President Lawrence H. Summers. Summers and Epstein serve together on the Trilateral Commission and the Council on Foreign Relations, two elite international relations organizations.[..]
The relationships Epstein has formed inside and outside the scientific community are particularly impressive, given that he is self-taught and does not even hold a bachelor’s degree.”
Professor Nowak thanks child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein in the preface (page xi). Would it be fair to characterize those who comprehend and support Professor Nowak’s writings as “Game Theory Alphas”?
In addition to the crimes related to his personal conduct with children, reports suggest that Jeffrey Epstein was (or is) linked through Ghislaine Maxwell (and perhaps many others) to various intelligence agencies around the world through blackmail of individuals who are electronically monitored doing reprehensible things to children.
Now, let’s look more closely at the remainder of the note.
The first word, preceding “C70 alpha” might appear to be “Loving”, but the diagonal line comprising the letter ‘v’ might also be seen as corresponding to an ‘a’ combined with ‘v’. As such, the word may also be fairly interpreted as “Laving”.
In this context, “laving” may be understood to mean “washing” as in “cleaning to be prepared for sacrifice”. Priests also lave prior to offering sacrifices.
2 Chronicles 4:6 He (King Solomon) also made ten basins (lavers) in which to wash (lave), and he set five on the right side and five on the left, to rinse things for the burnt offerings, but the sea was for the priests to wash (lave) in.
Leviticus 1:1-2, 8-9: Then the Lord called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of the meeting, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, ‘When any man of you brings an offering to the Lord, you shall bring your offering of animals from the herd or the flock. [..] ‘Then Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall arrange the pieces, the head, and the suet over the wood which is on the fire which is on the altar. Its entrails, however, and its legs he shall wash (lave) with water. And the priest shall offer up in smoke all of it on the altar for a burnt offering, an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the Lord.”
Many more examples the laving of sacrificed animals are easy to find in the Bible. See https://biblehub.com/topical/l/laver.htm
Four lines down, what seems at first to be “loved and mourned” may be objectively read as “laved and maimed” by interpreting the ‘a’ to be script with its end being the tittle of the letter ‘i’. What seems at first to be ‘rn’ could also be ‘m’ with the vertical line at the start of the ‘m’ also corresponding to the vertical line of the letter ‘i’.
A period at the end of the word “maimed” could mean that the last plus symbol in the note represents a cross, or Christianity. The full message may be interpreted as follows:
“Laving Game theory alpha, take good care of these six angels. They are laved and maimed. Christianity missed here on Earth.”
It turns out that the very same note was visible in the video accompanying a second story about Anna Caudill, providing confirmation that the note existed.
Reporter Jackie DelPilar of Fox 17 (WZTV) in Nashville also interviewed Anna Caudill about her keeping the “thousands of items” left for the victims of the Covenant shooting.
Now recall two discussion points raised earlier (1) the suicide note allegedly composed by Audrey Hale and (2) the curious AP interview choice of Jackie Bailey who was claimed to be a ‘close friend’ to Katherine Koonce but who was also unsure of where Koonce worked and asked her husband to initiate contact. Recall further that Jackie Bailey also happens to be the name of an author in Australia ‘leading a spiritual life without religion’ who focused on the death of a sibling in her award-winning book.
One thing to notice is that what is said to be a misspelling of ‘dingy’ has a character which resembles what Team Crowder team interpreted as a letter ‘g’ (in mustangs). Set that point aside for now.
Let’s consider other aspects of the note. In all caps, there is the phrase “PLEASE READ MY WILL”. Given that the note in the story about the stuffed animals in Anna Caudill’s basement could allude to work supported by Jeffrey Epstein, it is conceivable that “malign creativity” might be at play.
Consider that the first person killed at Covenant is said to be Mike Hill. A homonym of “Mike Hill” is “My Kill”.
The AP article referenced the term of endearment “Sweet Will” used in regard to child victim William Kinney. I found it rather interesting that “My Kill” and “My Will” rhyme and considered the possibility that Audrey Hale’s use of “My Will” might actually refer to “William Kinney.” Given the interesting outcome related to Jackie Bailey, with a second woman named Jackie Bailey being an acclaimed author, I wondered if there might be any literature authored by a person with the same name - William Kinney. Indeed there was. It is plausible that the alleged suicide note of Audrey Hale is advocating that author William Kinney’s literary work be read.
It turns out that an author named William Kinney from Maryville, Tennessee wrote a book titled A Beautiful Delusion: The Coming Anti-Christ (ISBN 9781492193432) in 2010. This book happens to focus on the story of Adam and Eve in The Garden of Eden.
Could it be that “READ MY WILL” in the Audrey Hale’s (alleged) suicide note refers to author and Tennessee native William Kinney’s book “A Beautiful Delusion: The Coming of the Anti-Christ”?
Is it a mere coincidence that the MNPD report shows a stained-glass window depicting Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, said to be damaged by the gunshots issued from Audrey Hale’s carbine rifle?
Early in the book, author William Kinney emphasizes that his understanding is that the “snake” in the Biblical story is actually using “manipulation through the use of words” to “challenge Eve’s perception of the truth”.
Author William Kinney puts forth the argument that “Satan used Nachash (the snake) to help lay the foundation for his counterfeit reality”.
There is another interesting detail on page 15 of the MNPD report:
It states that Audrey Hale used the name “Aiden Williams”. While many media reports mention the use of the name “Aiden”, only a very few mention that “Williams” was also used by Hale.
Given that a focal point of author William Kinney’s book is the snake in the Garden of Eden, it is reasonable to surmise that the letter ‘s’ might represent the word “snake”, at least on some occasions in the “manifesto” and “suicide note”. Then, if one assumes a stream of consciousness reading of the word, “Williams” might be interpreted as “Will I am snake”.
Likewise, Aiden might then be “AI den” whereby AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. Could it be that “Aiden Williams” refers to “Artificial Intelligence by a Den of Snakes” via manipulation of language and of media?
Recalling the note in Anna Caudill’s basement, we know that a Greek letter alpha (α) might represent ‘dominant’, and considering the “READ MY WILL” message from William Kinney, we know the letter ‘s’ may signify ‘snake’, we can revisit what Team Crowder Team felt was a misspelling of “and convertibles”.
The plus sign (+) may be read as ‘alpha’. There could be two words: ‘convert’ and ‘able’. And the last letter ‘S’ may represent one or more snakes.
Then, instead of “and convertibles” the combination of symbols is: “Alpha convert able snake”. One other nuance of the English language is that certain animals have unchanged singular and plural form (sheep or deer, for instance). The word ‘fish’ is unusual in that ‘fish’ may mean ‘one fish’ or it may mean ‘many fish’. Yet, the word ‘fishes’ is also an acceptable form and refers to more than one fish. It is plausible that the interpretation of ‘S’ should be taken to mean either one snake or multiple snakes (like fish). When multiple letter ‘S’ are shown, it means only plural snakes (like fishes). This is a minor point, but it helps with interpretation. Here, the outcome would be:
“Alpha convert able snakes”
This peculiar symbol which Team Crowder interpreted as ‘g’ might be interpreted as an overlap of ‘g’ and ‘o’ and ‘alpha’. In turn, one might reasonably read the symbol as “go alpha” intending the meaning to be “Be dominant”.
Now let’s consider a longer phrase:
If we allow the vertical line after the ‘w’ to be the letter ‘l’ and think phonetically about “wlthier”, we get “wealthier”. Likewise, ‘m’ might be ‘em – slang for ‘them’. And there is a separated vertical line in the ‘m’ in ‘must…’ which might lead one to read “I must”. Once more, we might consider this in a stream of consciousness context and add punctuation as viewed fit.
So one might read this phrase as “wealthier, ‘em daddies. I must alpha and go alpha snake. Alpha convert able snakes.”
Or, if we looks closely at the d’s and a in the apparent word “daddies”, all four letters might resemble the Greek letter ‘alpha’. The shorthand ‘i.e.’ (Latin for id est), means ‘that is’. So we might also interpret the phrase as:
“Wealthier, ‘em alphas, i.e. snakes. I must alpha and go alpha snake. Alpha convert able snakes.”
One might ask how we know whether the intent is “alphas” or “daddies”? We do not know. The interpretation is subjective. But so are the interpretations given by Team Crowder and the Tennessee Star. Subjectivity might just be a point of emphasis by those who crafted the code- assuming there is a code, of course.
Now let’s look a prior portion of the page in the Team Crowder publication.
Consider what Team Crowder interpreted as “khakis + sports backpacks”. Team Crowder interpreted ‘kwakis’ to be a misspelling of ‘khakis’, but that would certainly be an unusual misspelling. While the first two apparent misspellings (‘thier’ and ‘convertables’) are perhaps understandable, very few people mistakenly spell the word ‘khaki’ with a ‘w’ in place of the ‘h’. In fact, wouldn’t it be reasonable to assert that nobody accidentally spells ‘khakis’ with a ‘w’. Any critic or Coincidence Theorist who wishes to cling to the idea that we should take the words at face value should tackle that inconsistency first.
This particular misspelling suggests that some deeper meaning might be intended by this particular note.
If we look at the entire section of this page, there are far more letter ‘k’ appearance than what might be typical for these short phrases.
Do you notice now the lower right extension of each of the other three occurrences of letter ‘k’ extension is slightly curved upward, in contrast to the first ‘k’ in khaki? What if each ‘k’ after the first ‘k’ in ‘khaki’ actually represents ‘IC’, with the ‘I’ and the ‘C’ placed so close together that the letters touch. Then we have IC, whcih is commonly used to refer to the “Intelligence Community” in the United States.
The word ‘fancy’ may be read as ‘alpha an omega’ - To see this, look at the f in fancy of “private fancy schools” which resembles ‘alpha’. Then look at the combination of ‘cy’ in the “those fancy kwakis”. The combination resembles the Greek letter omega ( ω ).
In place of ‘kwa’, let’s use a homophone ‘qua’ which means “in the function of’
The apparent word ‘is’ might simply mean ‘is’. Or it might mean “I snake”. Let’s try ‘is’ first.
The ‘+ sports’ might be viewed as ‘alpha snake par alpha snake’. For this to make sense, remember the author might view alpha snake as ‘excellence’. The words ‘excellence’ and the French expression ‘par excellence’ have the same meaning. So ‘alpha snake par alpha snake’ may be a play on words, emphasizing the excellence of alpha snakes.
‘crac’, ‘bac’ and ‘pac’ may be construed as homonym words ‘crack’ (meaning top-notch), ‘back’ and ‘pack’
Then , we might have “alpha and omega, in the function of IC, is alpha snake. Par alpha snake. Back IC, pack IC, snakes”. Do you notice how the ‘p’ in ‘pac’ almost looks like the loop is bulging far downward, as though it were heavily laden? The author (Audrey Hale or perhaps ‘AI Den of Snakes’) might be suggesting that the IC is packed chock full of “snakes”.
Now let’s go to the top line and consider that instead of “Kill those kids”, we could separate the ‘t’ from the word ‘those’ and consider that it might represent a symbol for Christianity. Then we are left with two possible outcomes. The first would be “Kill Christianity. Hose kids!” In this context the word ‘hose’ might refer to the slang term for ‘have sex with’. But since the downward slanted line in the second ‘k’ curls up quite a bit, it might also be “Kill Christianity! Hose IC ids!” Here, the word hose would mean to “saturate” (i.e., satisfy) the Freudian concept of id - ‘the instinct-driven, pleasure seeking part of the mind, focused on immediate gratification’ which contrasts with the superego or ‘conscience’. The double meaning is a clever wordplay and is therefore likely to be intentional. My sense is that the Freudian outcome is more the style “Audrey Hale” used.
Joining the two phrases, we get: “Kill Christianity. Hose IC ids. Those crack IC are snakes. Going to private alpha and omega schools with those alpha and omega, qua IC, is alpha snake. Par alpha snake Back IC, pack IC, snakes! Wealthier, ‘em alphas, i.e., snakes. I must alpha and go alpha snake. Alpha convert able snakes.” This might be easier to see when it is broken out below.
It is tempting is to demand something be definitive before laying out an interpretation like this one, but that is impossible. Even here, one could look at the ‘t’ in the word ‘private’ and suggest it looks more like a slash. Maybe the intent is ‘pr iv a/e’ as the modifier. In other words ‘private’ might be ‘pure Ivy Arts and Entertainment” as the modifier for ‘school’. How can we know for certain since we have no objective truth?
Now, let’s return to the ‘suicide note’:
It might, at first glance, be read as: “I’m worried what you and Scott will have to go through.” But:
There’s no apostrophe between the ‘I’ and the ‘m’ in I’m. And the I looks more like a ‘t’, perhaps meant to signify “Christians”
The apparent ‘orr’ in worried could be interpreted as ‘arn’.
The first ‘h’ in through’ looks more like the letter ‘n’, especially when compared to the second ‘h’ in ‘through’. Perhaps this ‘n’ represents shorthand for ‘and’.
The ‘+’ sign initially read as ‘and’ looks like ‘alpha’. So does the ‘t’ in ‘through’
The letter m could represent ‘am’, which is more grammatically correct if altered to ‘are’
‘cott’ is near-homonym of the word ‘got’.
What might first appear to be ‘but’ crossed out might be the word ‘buy’ crossed out. If we use the homonym for ‘buy’ as ‘bye’ and take the I in Im as a cross (which it resembles), and add punctuation we have: “Bye, crossed-out Christians. Mmm… sorry, but it is my time.”
The leftover letters ‘to’ which might precede the next line of ‘go’, followed by the 3 dots is interesting. It reminds me of Togo, as in Togo Starry Nights, written about the African country of Togo and analyzed in afore reference Way Out Substack article “Exposing the Machiavellian Solution”. But I have a feeling these are meant to be treated as two separate words. Let’s set this issue aside for now.
What we may read instead in place of the original statement is: “Christians are warned what you alpha snake got. Will have to go alpha and rough. Bye, crossed-out Christians. Mmm, sorry! But it is my time.”
Let’s consider the phrase “down in that dingy basement” with some attention paid the odd apparent misspelling of ‘dingy’…
Consider the apparent phrase “down in that dingy basement”.
1. Observe that the symbol in the misspelled word ‘dingy’ might be an overlay of ‘o’ and ‘alpha’. The note has some examples of ‘o’ without a secondary loop while some do have the secondary loop present.
2. Allow the word ‘din’ to be replaced by its near-homophone ‘den’.
3. The letter ‘o’ can be used to signify ‘of’. The term o’clock means of the clock, for instance.
4. If one looks closely at the apparent ‘gy’ in ‘dingy’, both letters resemble the letter ‘s’ and hence ‘snakes’
The result is: “down in that den of alpha snakes basement.”
Now return to the full message and observe the apparent references to “stuffed animals” and a “basement”. Is it merely a coincidence that the note purportedly written by Audrey Hale might refer to stuffed animals being left “down in that den of alpha snakes basement”, given that Anna Caudill placed the stuffed animals allegedly left at the memorial site in her basement, according to the story by Megan Kernan of WKRN?
Now let’s consider another aspect of author William Kinney’s book, “A Beautiful Delusion: The Coming Anti-Christ”.
On pp. 14-15:
“Be forewarned! Satan used his deception to bring God’s glorious creation down into a mortal form. In these last days, he will make mankind the same offer he used to deceive Eve.
Ye shall be as gods. The greatest test awaits mankind right around the corner. Medical science, specifically biotechnology [..] will reconstruct the gene sequence that enables immortal life. Man will finally be able to achieve his age old quest for immortality, apart form the work of Christ.”
On pp. 16-17, William Kinney postulates that:
“I have no doubt whatsoever that the anti-Christ will be the first one to benefit from this scientific medical achievement that will become known as ‘The Immortal Life Therapy’. [..] God did not want Adam and Eve, in a corrupted and degenerate form, to become eternal beings that live in a state of wickedness, incapable of redemption. [..] At the heart of this delusion will be the anti-Christ’s ability to impart immortality to others. [..] Man, who has been cut off from the tree of life since the Garden of Eden, will climb into paradise over the back wall. [..]”
On pp. 31, William Kinney adds:
“Many will reason and rationalize with themselves about the apparent good this therapy does. The sick are healed, the lame walk, the blind see, and the deaf hear! [..]
The aging process itself has been reversed! Even teachers and preachers will say, “this therapy has done so much good it could only be from God! That is the essence of a strong delusion; the ones who are being deluded convince themselves otherwise.”
On page 69, William Kinney states:
“It could very well be that the Immortal Life Therapy [..] could actually give the outside of the skin a soft glow. That would certainly mark those who belong to Satan. I believe the Apostle Paul understood exactly what happened to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and how they changed their glorious bodies into an animal form.”
Finally, near the end of the book, on p. 163:
“(E)ver since the fist sin, the penalty for sin has been death; to be cut off from the tree of life with no chance to inherit eternal life (outside the redemptive work of Christ). The immortal Life Therapy will cancel out the penalty for sin. By doing so, it will render the work of the Messiah to be of no effect. In the kingdom of the anti-Christ, there will be no need for a Messiah or Redeemer. Immortal life will be obtained by our New Age god, the god of Medical Science. [..]
The offer of immortal life, will lead to the “falling away” spoken of in Thess. 2. The term ‘falling away,’ which means a defection from truth,’ was never intended to describe a slow decline in faith that would take place over an extended period of time. For example, the decline of a spirit filled church into a lukewarm church. Or in a greater sense, the worldwide decline of Christendom into a state of global Humanism.”
From these short excerpts, it can be seen that a main theme of the book relates to “Immortal Life Therapy”, which is a topic studied by George Church of Harvard, among many others. For example (https://www.lifeextension.com/magazine/2016/7/age-reversal-research-at-harvard-medical-school ):
“Harvard researcher Dr. George Church has developed an innovative gene editing technology called CRISPR/Cas9 that could transform senescent cells. He predicts this technology may reverse aging in humans. Life Extension Foundation® assisted by providing Dr. Church with gene sequencing data from its super-centenarian project.”
And from 2015, the Washington Post reported the following (https://web.archive.org/web/20151204013455/https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/achenblog/wp/2015/12/02/professor-george-church-says-he-can-reverse-the-aging-process/ ):
“Church thinks that one of the ailments he can cure is aging. When I met him early this year, in his laboratory at Harvard Medical School, where he is professor of genetics, he expressed confidence that in just five or six years he will be able to reverse the aging process in human beings.”
Like Martin Nowak, Dr. George Church was financially supported by Jeffrey Epstein. NBC News reported the meetings and other contacts between Jeffrey Epstein and Harvard faculty in July 2019. The NBC report by Laura Strickler including evidence in the form of a personal calendar of Dr. George Church:

The calendar referenced by NBC News was archived and (for now) can still be found at https://web.archive.org/web/20220916210421/https://arep.med.harvard.edu/backup/labmeeti_2014.html
Excerpts referring to Jeffrey Epstein and some contextual information are shown below.
Shortly after NBC published this article, it was reported that:
“Harvard biologist George Church apologized for his affiliation with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein on the 5th August, five days before Epstein’s death.” (https://www.ledgerinsights.com/founder-of-nebula-genomics-blockchain-apologizes-for-epstein-affiliation/ )
The original story appeared in STAT News (https://www.statnews.com/2019/08/05/citing-nerd-tunnel-vision-biologist-george-church-apologizes-for-contacts-with-jeffrey-epstein/ and archived at https://web.archive.org/web/20190805205504/https://www.statnews.com/2019/08/05/citing-nerd-tunnel-vision-biologist-george-church-apologizes-for-contacts-with-jeffrey-epstein/):
“George Church, the prominent Harvard University biologist, offered a full-throated apology for having meetings and phone calls with accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein even after the financier pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting a minor for prostitution. ‘I certainly apologize for my poor awareness and judgment,’ Church told STAT in his first public comments about Epstein. [..]
Church said he is used to financiers, technologists, and celebrities seeking him out, and has become a quasi-celebrity himself. In his distinctive Darwinesque beard, he has had star turns on “The Colbert Report,” was named to the Time 100 in 2017, made his genome sequence public, and has been featured on “NOVA” and other television science programs. [..]
Now, Church is the only science luminary to publicly apologize for interactions with Epstein. [..]
Church, whose 2012 book “Regenesis” (John) Brockman shepherded, said he met Epstein in 2006, either through Brockman or through the then-chairman of the Harvard psychology department, Stephen Kosslyn, a member of Edge.org.”
So what do we make of this?
First, William Kinney’s book “A Beautiful Delusion: the Coming Anti-Christ” makes it clear that the author believes that Immortal Life Therapy will become possible through advances in natural science. It is very difficult to prove a negative, so one cannot rule out such a possibility without an exhaustive study or resources. But let’s consider two facts: (1) Scientific progress is generally unpredictable, and major advances are often exceedingly difficult to achieve. (2) The Intelligence Community is very adept at the arts of deception. So if one is seeking a safe bet, the second option is more attractive. Consider the possibility that the “Delusion” is the concept that “Immortal Life Therapy” is not only achievable but also imminent.
What might be the motive for such a delusion? Let’s play it out.
Now let’s imagine that “Immortal Life Therapy” actually did exist were made available to everyone who wants it. Population growth would increase since fewer people would die a natural death. In turn, this might motivate those with money and political power to institute population reduction strategies prior to the disclosure of the Immortal Life Therapy to the general public. Those leaders might also be motivated to obscure the underlying cause of policies which cause population reduction to occur.
Consider a few more images - first from Audrey Hale’s car. Does the presence of the stuffed animals in the passenger seat suggest a problem? Does it seem there are too many of them?
Now consider Anna Caudill’s basement. WKRN includes several pictures of stuffed animals there. What sort of thoughts and ideas do these images evoke?
Even this favorable story describes the sense of being overwhelmed. This might be a nod to what many will perceive as there being an awful lot of stuffed animals in that basement.
The WKRN story includes two nearly-identical pictures in their story- one labeled photo 4/13 and the second labeled 8/13. One can see a slight difference in the two pictures in that the nose of Mickey Mouse, positioned in the upper right corner of each picture, is more visible in the photo labeled 8/13. Could it be that the number of stuffed animals overwhelmed the author and editor of the article to the point where this duplication went unnoticed? Or was the near-duplication of the images intentional?
Does the presence of so many stuffed animals crowded together evoke a sense that perhaps it would be best to give them away- or, if no person wanted to keep one, perhaps discarded?
Might a person concerned with overpopulation perceive these groups ‘stuffed animals’ an artistic representation of ‘human over-population of Earth’? Is it a coincidence that author William Kinney described Adam and Eve as being “changed into animal form”?
Consider that precisely the same outcome might occur if one were able to deceive those in power that Immortal Life Therapy has been proven to work.
Population reduction might be construed as a form of utilitarianism described by John Stuart Mill in the 19th century. One would argue that one must consider scarcity of resources. How might we deploy these limited resources to maximize our collective enjoyment of these resources? (

Regarding the topic, in the linked video the late Professor of Philosophy, Dr. Michael Sugrue cites:
“There are many cases in the military where it is necessary to sacrifice a part in order to save the whole. It may be necessary to engage in dangerous or even lethal conduct. And this may be the best for the group as a whole, even though it is not for a certain portion of individual soldiers. Fair enough. Generals will have to do that. But beyond that, it’s a bluff. Here’s why: We would like to be able to quantify happiness, but you need some way of measuring those things. You need some unit of happiness and some way of measuring it. The problem is there is no such thing as British Happiness Units although there are British Thermal Units because heat is an objective thing. But the things that make people happy are actually rather varied. Granted, people don’t enjoy pain. But there may be times when steadfastness in the face of pain may be the morally proper thing to do.”
This subjectivity of happiness measurement can lead toward totalitarianism. For example, consider a country governed by an elite ‘alpha’ group which follows the philosophy attributed to Friedrich Nietzsche, the self-proclaimed ‘Anti-Christ’. Such an ‘alpha’ group would be unconstrained by any moral code, and therefore entitled to subjugate any weaker being. What better example of the ‘strong subjugating the weak’ exists than for adults to abuse and exploit children? Suppose the members of this ‘alpha’ group are able not only to satisfy their base pleasure (saturate their ids) but also to compromise other powerful individuals (who likewise abuse the children) through blackmail.
An alpha ruling class with sufficient power would have the capability to ruin the lives, and therefore destroy the happiness, of millions of people within the same nation if they so choose. Therefore, a courtier with a utilitarian mindset might conclude that the number of children involved is relatively low compared to the population of the country as a whole and that allowing the members of the ‘alpha’ group to do as they wish to a mere few thousand children would lead to overall increased happiness for a nation comprised of millions. The courtier might be especially keen to reach such a conclusion if he reflects that the alpha class has “six ways to Sunday” to destroy anyone who decides otherwise.
Historically, similar ruling classes who wish to revive the Roman and pre-Socratic Greek master-slave model of government has been thwarted by Christianity. One has to look no farther than Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union to find a recent example of people of Christian faith conquering Marxism (which is my opinion is imposed atheism disguised as an economic model).
Much of the world in the 20th Century was affected by treatment of the political theory of utilitarianism as a Silver Bullet for all problems. This approach led to eugenics in Nazi Germany, where disabled children were often euthanized under the auspices that a “useless eater” would drain resources from others who were more deemed capable. However, the practice of eugenics was- and is-by no means limited to Hilter’s Germany.
Anna Caudill’s article describing a mother choosing not to abort an unborn child, thereby causing both twins to die provides an object lesson of a negative outcome when a utilitarian approach is avoided – and perhaps that is the main point of the story.
As in Anna Caudill’s story-praised by David Dark and, it would seem, Katherine Koonce- the idea of “Immortal Life Therapy” provides a test. How would the evolutionary dynamics of such a process differ if a utilitarian (or for that matter, a totalitarian) approach were taken, compared to a Christian approach?
This might be an interesting question to ponder, but my hunch is that it is a moot point. I do not believe “Immortal Life Therapy” exists or is on the horizon. Instead, it is more instructive to focus on the implicit value of “Immortal Life Therapy” as a tool for a ruling “alpha” class which wishes to eliminate Christianity in order to establish totalitarian rule. In a similar vein, I do not believe the stories told by Anna Caudill about “Lauren” or the previous experience of a mother deciding whether to abort one twin to save another, leading to later difficulty for the surviving twin, are entirely truthful. Establishing the narrative itself is the goal.
Proponents of the philosophy attributed to Nietzsche are typically not particularly skilled in objective exercises like math or science. Rather, their strength is creating art. They like to enforce that a subjective narrative become a source of truth, like a false idol. Examples are numerous, and some have been described and/or exposed in previous Way Out articles (Theranos, Climate change leading to ocean rise, and the idea that safe and effective Covid vaccines would have prevented expectant mothers from dying of Covid).
A second trait of existentialists and others who follow the works attributed to Nietzsche is their willingness to commit crimes so brutal that they seem impossible for normal people to comprehend, and this works to their advantage. Consider all the questions raised in about the Covenant shooting in the first part of this article. If one were to simply assert that the Covenant shootings were entirely faked, there is a very strong possibility that person would be not only be incorrect but could be legitimately proven to be incorrect.
True Nietzsche adherents view the murder of a child no differently from the slaughter of an animal. Speaking hypothetically, actually killing three children and three adults in a crowded school building leaves fewer loose ends than faking their deaths. Deception is important not only when trying to trap “conspiracy theorists” but also when dealing with lower-level accomplices. So it is important to take steps to make it seem as though the deaths could have been faked. Let’s say that legitimate proof must be shown to counter a skeptical “conspiracy theorist” who believes they are fake. Even then, the top-level perpetrators would imply to their low-level accomplices that they are simply adept at contriving what appears to be proof.
The primary goal of followers of the words attributed to Nietzsche is to transform the world into a master-slave society like that of the Romans and the pre-Socratic Greeks. And those masters did not allow their slaves to own weapons. One has only to consider the events which follow any mass shooting to see how this might, hypothetically, work to their advantage of an ‘alpha’ ruling class. Critics will contend that the very notion that a person would conceive of such a twisted plot- kill children in order to lay the groundwork for a new form of slavery- must be either crazy or evil themselves…. which exemplifies why excessive brutality so adeptly serves the purpose of a true Nietzsche follower. I ask the same critics: “Would Jeffrey Epstein have been willing to kill a child if it led to a vast increase in his wealth and power?”
The “malign creativity” surrounding The Covenant School shooting story connects to Martin Nowak through the game theory reference in the WKRN story and to George Church through the “Immortal Life Therapy” referenced through the “same name” of William Kinney. Both Martin Nowak and George Church were funded by Jeffrey Epstein, and it is well-documented that Jeffrey Epstein was (or maybe is) tightly linked to an Intelligence Community (IC), which views themselves as vastly superior to other people. The hidden messages in the suicide note and the Team Crowder note dated 2/23/23 are rather straightforward to decipher once William Kinney’s “A Beautiful Delusion: the Coming Anti-Christ” is consulted.
The MNPD report leaves a multitude of questions unanswered in the report, some of which would have been very easy to address if the goal were simply to provide objective information rather than constructing a narrative.
A thorough investigation of the circumstances surrounding The Covenant school shooting-and the reporting done about it- has the potential to expose the operation associated with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, both of whom have been linked to the Intelligence Community. The new leaders of the federal law enforcement and intelligence in the Trump Administration must gain the trust of the American people by (1) determining what really happened at The Covenant School, (2) sharing the information with the American people, and (3) holding the responsible individuals and groups accountable.
My advice to those involved in the Covenant shooting, especially those at a lower level who are surprised to see the “Satanic Comm Unit” and the decoded messages which link to Jeffrey Epstein so clearly spelled out in a Substack article, is to talk to the right authorities before Part 2 of this story is posted. The exposure of these crimes will “just keep happening”.
